November - National Cut Your Siblings Hair Month!!

Yes, Layla learned how to use scissors at school, so she though she would put them to good use at home -- on her sister!! In the time it took me to use the bathroom, she had gotten the scissors down, and chopped half of Anna Lea's hair off!! There was a huge gash in the back, pretty much all the way to the scalp! There was no way it could be fixed, but we did take her to a professional, and they did what they could to make it more presentable. You can see her new hairdo in the pictures below. FYI, Layla had already chopped herself a few extremely short bangs in the front and had taken one little whack on poor Wyatt's hair, but this one was the worst of all. She did receive some pretty severe discipline for her creativity, and I hope she has learned her lesson.

To carry on in the spirit of things, we went ahead and gave Wyatt his first haircut with the clippers. We weren't sure how he would react, but seemed to thoroughly enjoy himself! He really looks like a little boy now!

October Fun!

I know I don't post that often these days. It may be due to the fact that I have 3 very energetic preschoolers who are 4 and a half, 2 and a half, and 1 and a half. In June I decided to start selling Arbonne skin care products as well, so that has also kept me hopping!! I do enjoy it though. I have also thoroughly been enjoying singing in our church's worship choir on Sunday mornings!!
Here are some pictures of the kids having fun at our church's Fall Festival, and at a bonfire and hayride we co-hosted with Marmee and Pop.
Layla is really enjoying preschool in Mrs. Cassie's class. On the way home from school last Wednesday, she told me, "Mom, I'm really liking school!"
Anna Lea has had several hair style changes lately due to that fact that Layla has "learned" how to use scissors at school. We gave Anna Lea a cute little bob a few weeks ago. A couple days ago, I went to the bathroom for a minute. When I came out, Layla had gotten the scissors out and whacked off literally half of Anna Lea's hair. I took her to the beauty shop to see if they could help it look any better than it did, and they were able to help it somewhat. There is still a huge gash in the very back. Oh well, I guess it will grow out eventually.
Wyatt is really starting to say alot of words, including: Choo-Choo, train, Juice, Target, and toot! His new favorite show if you havent figured it out yet, is Thomas and Friends. He will get his sippy cup, climb up on the couch, lay back with his blanket, and say "TOO TOO" "Tain" until he gets someone to turn it on for him:)

How many kids can you fit in ONE pool??

This past Friday my friend Elisha brought her 4 children over to play with my 3 children. We filled up the little kiddie pool, and they just had a blast!! They really enjoyed their time together playing, eating lunch, and playing some more.

First time without KIDS!!

Rob and I were able to get away for a long weekend this past weekend for the first time ever without our children!! It was very nice to spend some time together all by ourselves. We stayed at a beach house on St. George Island, FL. We got to do whatever we wanted to do whenever we wanted to do it!! That turned out to be just sitting at the beach, eating out almost every meal, and just plain taking it easy. It was so nice to not have to think about preparing meals OR cleaning up after them! That was probably my favorite part of our time away. I think Rob's favorite was just sitting on the beach soaking up the sun and watching the fishermen. We were able to see a fisherman catch a baby shark. That was pretty neat, but it also made you wonder just how close his moma and daddy were swimming?!

We did miss our kids, but were very thankful for Marmee and Pop taking excellent care of them while we were gone!! Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou!!!

WE'RE BACK!!!!!

Layla in the fountains at Coolige Park

Anna Lea picking "fowders" in her pullups and milkin' boots

Wyatt on the kitchen table
Well, I am finally back in the blogging world after some technical difficulties. Here are some pictures of the kids from last month. Layla just turned 4 on May the 3rd and thinks she knows everything! Anna Lea just turned 2 on April 17th, and her current hobbies are picking every flower that she sees and throwing temper tantrums when she can't have juice. Wyatt just turned 1 on May 8th and his latest tricks are walking, repeating "No" from his sisters, and as you can see climbing onto the table! So, never a dull moment around here if you haven't figured that out yet.
Rob has completed his electrical schooling and is now working full time managing rental properties. I have just started my own business as a consultant selling Arbonne! We both love to get out in our beautiful vegetable garden in the evenings when we can and work in it. (Mainly Rob working while I keep Anna Lea from destroying it!) I will put some pictures of it up soon because I am so proud of it. I did pick our first squash yesterday and we had with our supper last night. DELICIOUS!!

More Pictures of Benton Falls Hike

Snack Time!

Had to throw in this funny picture of Shrek that I had taken last month!

9 Months Old!

Our little boy was nine months old yesterday. He continues to be the sweetest thing. He is absolutely no problem to take anywhere. The first pictures were taken today. The others were taken last month.

Our whole family along with Marmee, Pop, Uncle Will, and Smokey (Will's newest dog) went on a hike to Benton Falls last month. Wyatt fell asleep on my shoulders while we were hiking to the falls. Layla and Anna Lea did pretty well. Their favorite part was when we reached the falls and stopped to eat a snack of canned peaches and chocolate teddy bears. Yum!

Good Morning Blue Eyes!

Christmas Part 2 - Wyatt's 1st Christmas Morning!

My first Christmas! I love sucking my finger!!

We can't wait to open presents!!!!!
We had Christmas morning at our home and the kids were very excited!! Layla got more dress up things, Anna Lea got a huge foam puzzle, and Wyatt got his first play hammer to bang on different shapes that light up when you hit them. Pop, Marmee, Aunt Katie, and Uncle Will came up to see what all they got after they had opened their presents from us (and Santa). After this we went to Gram and Poppy's to visit more relatives and of course the kids got more presents from great Aunts and Uncles!! We also enjoyed a wonderful Christmas feast of turkey, Gram's world famous dressing, sweet potatoes, and much more!!!

Christmas at Marmee & Pop's

Christmas at Marmee and Pop's

Layla, Anna Lea, and Wyatt had a wonderful Christmas at Marmee and Pop's while Uncle Bob, Aunt Lauren, Eveley, Caleb, Aunt Katie, Aunt Carrianna, and Uncle Will were all there. Great Gram and Poppy also came to give them some presents. They really racked up this year with strollers and babies from Gram and Poppy, dress up clothes from Marmee, blocks and step stools from Pop and Uncle Will, and lots of other cool gifts from the Aunts and Uncles!!
